28 year old Loomis resident Chris Scribner driver of the No. 5 Quick Quack Car Wash Late Model has quite the history in motorsports. Scribner was born as a second generation driver and was raised around racing and motorsports. Chris’s father, Rick, created his Plastic business based off of the motorsports world and around his own racing at the time. Chris grew up with the love and passion for racing.

At the age of 18, Chris started racing go karts while he was attending college and working full time at the family business, Scribner Plastics. Within his first five years in karting Chris won seven IKF national championships, one Stars of Karting national west coast championship, represented team USA for two consecutive years in Spain at the IAME International Challenge and placed team USA third one year and fifth in the other as well as numerous wins and pole positions. Scribner has quite the extensive karting resume as well as great recognition in the karting world.

Three years ago Chris branched out to move up in the motorsports world by gaining experience in dirt sprint cars and ran a few races in the Northern California area. Chris had a passion for late models at All American Speedway so he then made the transition to testing late models. After running two races in the late model division Chris was hooked on the thrill and excitement of the competition at All American Speedway and bought his first late model. Scribner ran a limited schedule in 2009 with a car that was outdated for Roseville with an original "stock clip". Mid way through the 2009 season Scribner had a new front clip installed changing the front geometry and was ready to contest the last few races of 2009. By the 2010 season Chris and family were learning more and more about setting up the car which helped improved his finishes. By the end of the season Scribner was posting solid top 5 finishes with the oldest flexing chassis at AAS earning third in track championship points. Scribner knew he needed to fix the flexing problem or buy a new chassis.

In the off season Chris and his family purchased a new bare frame from Port City and built the car from the ground up including performing his own custom fabrication touches and hanging a new body. “This new car has a rare design to the interior, we designed the dash more like sprint cup car dashes,” stated Chris. The family sweated hours and hours of labor into the new car to barely make it for the late model opener. “The Friday before the late model opener the car was testing NASCAR style with no paint or wrap with a duct taped number on the doors. "The Wednesday leading up to the opener my graphics guy Tony D’Allessandro at AD3 Graphics, my wife Kristin and myself put in about 20 hours in one day to wrap my car,” said Scribner. The new car has Scribner posting solid finishes and a car that can handle great around the track.

Chris is not only a racer but is known as a promoter in karting. Chris has been highly involved in karting in the northern California region proving himself as a race director, tech director, announcer, media, live media, press releases etc. On his own time Chris performs as the “Voice of Norcal” announcer for karting events as his wife Kristin performs as the event photographer and interacts with racers. Scribner owns three high traffic media sites two for Karting (WestCoastKarters.com & NorcalKarters.com) and one for oval racing (NorcalCircleTrack.com) providing news and track promotions to the racers. Chris provides an affordable arrive and drive program for drivers who want to get into karting as well, "It’s a great way to introduce new young talent to racing." Besides promoting local racing in Northern California, Scribner is also highly involved in the motorsports world attending the nation’s largest motorsports trade show, Performance Racing Industry in Orlando once a year for Scribner Plastics. Working for Scribner Plastics Chris has met and worked with top names in motorsports and NASCAR. Chris works to attempt to bring in new people to the speedway and shares a love for race fans who come out to support the races. Plastics engineer by day, racecar driver by night, and husband to Kristin Scribner who runs a media based business that supports young racers and helps them to accomplish their goals in racing, Scribner holds racing close to his heart.
